Cleveland man indicted, ordered to surrender passport for allegedly trying to meet minor for sex

CLEVELAND — A Cleveland man has been indicted on multiple counts for allegedly trying to meet up with a minor for sex.

Ameen Sari, 29, has been charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, importuning and possessing criminal tools, according to the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Court records show Sari was arrested on Jan. 22. Authorities say Sari believed he was meeting a minor to engage in sexual activity.

He was indicted on Friday. According to court records, Sari was ordered to surrender his passport.

He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 15.

Parma Heights police and Cleveland police assisted the task force with the investigation.
