A 19-year-old man was transported to a nearby hospital after being shot in the wrist early Saturday morning, according to Cleveland police detectives.
The victim told authorities that shortly after 3 a.m. on Jan. 23, he was lying in bed when he heard gunshots coming from outside his West 54th Street residence.
When the man went to the kitchen a bullet entered the house and hit him in the wrist, police said.
Seven other people, including a 5-month-old girl were in the house at the time of the shooting. No one else was injured.
Police located several bullets holes in the residence and in two nearby vehicles.
A witness told police she saw a white Dodge Durango in the area around the same time as the shooting.
The victim was treated and released, a hospital spokesperson said.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
