Authorities are investigating the death of a 2-day-old baby that occurred on Friday, police said.
The female newborn was transported to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital from a residence on the 9300 block of Amesbury Avenue, according to police.
Authorities responded to the hospital at around noon, where the baby was pronounced dead.
Police described the incident as a “probable accidental” death. However, the cause and circumstances surrounding the baby’s death are still under investigation.
