BEACHWOOD, Ohio — A new co-working space called COhatch will take over the former space of Maggiano’s Little Italy and H&M at Beachwood Place.
The new, two-story building will serve as a flexible workspace geared towards freelancers and anyone looking to work in an office-like setting that doesn’t have a home base. It will feature 60 private offices and co-working spaces.
“The Beachwood facility is our largest by a long shot—which is a huge deal for us and for Cleveland,” said Matt Davis, co-founder and CEO of COhatch, in a news release. “We’ll be offering amenities to East Side residents that are above and beyond what we’ve ever been able to offer in some of our existing spaces.”
COhatch Beachwood will accommodate East Side professionals with flexible workspaces including the ability for members to use the workspace at the company’s Ohio City, Columbus, Cincinnati and Indianapolis locations.
The Beachwood space will feature a brew pub from North High Brewing, which will provide pub food and beverage options. Members can also use a podcast room, gaming areas, a golf simulator and other equipped entertainment areas.
COhatch Beachwood will also serve as the launchpad for COhatch’s Ghost Kitchen, offering five different food concepts for mobile order and delivery.
The COhatch space will be available for use by community members and nonprofits after work hours and on the weekends. Rental fees will fund scholarships to more than 100 local non-profit organizations.
COhatch Beachwood is the company’s second Cleveland-area location, joining the COhatch Ohio City location under construction at 2814 Detroit Ave. in Cleveland.
A spokesperson for the company said a completion date is unknown at this time but did confirm permit paperwork was filed on Jan. 22.
