Cleveland police said the shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. in the 3900 block of East 140th Street.

Police said the victim reported to officers that he was walking on Glendale Ave. at about 7 p.m. when he passed a group of young black males. One of the males pointed a small pistol at him.

The victim told police that the said to “give it up,” at which point the Smith gave him his bus pass and some pocket change.  Smith told police he turned to look at the suspect behind him as the suspect fired a shot that grazed his lip.  The victim ran to a nearby store to call for help.

Officers said they are investigating and looking for two suspects, but do not have a description.
