A fatal crash Sunday morning caused the driver to be partially ejected out of the door window, according to Cleveland police.
Officers say the driver, Shon Thomas, 25, was speeding in a Chevy Monte Carlo on Interstate 71 North near the West 14th Street exit.
The vehicle hit a metal guardrail on the left shoulder and Thomas was partially ejected out of the car and hit the guardrail.
The vehicle then went across all four lanes of traffic and hit the concrete wall in the shoulder of the highway.
Both Thomas and his passenger were taken to MetroHealth by Emergency Medical Services. Thomas was pronounced dead at the hospital.
