The Cuyahoga County Democratic Party has made a recommendation to endorse Mike O'Malley for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's race, instead of current Prosecutor Timothy McGinty.
The announcement was made Saturday after 24 ward leaders voted in favor of O'Malley and 13 voted in favor of McGinty, while 8 abstained from voting, said Nick Martin, Cuyahoga County Democratic Party spokesperson.
Martin adds that the recommendation is non-binding and does not compel members of the committee to vote one way or the other.
