The Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court believes the Republican National convention will create enough logistical challenges that it has decided to limit court cases in its general division to critical matters from July 18 to July 21.
Its general division hears a wide variety of civil and criminal cases.
The court cites challenges not only to jurors, the public and those who do business with the court, but also those who work in the court. So, though the court will remain open, only essential staff will be on hand during the convention.
