CLEVELAND — Dangerous swimming conditions have prompted a Beach Hazards Statement that will be in effect from 10 a.m. on Thursday through late evening, according to the National Weather Service.
The Beach Hazards Statement is in effect for Northern Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore.
The Beach Hazards Statement is issued when there is a risk for swimming because of large waves and rip currents.
The current swimming risks can create life-threatening conditions even for good swimmers.
