UPDATE: Police said 25-year-old Demetria Watkins has been located and has safely returned home.
Earlier, Garfield Heights Police said they were searching for a missing woman who they say is developmentally disabled and was last seen Saturday.
According to police, Demetria Watkins, 25, lives at a home on Birchwood Road and was permitted to leave the house alone for her birthday. She did not return at the expected time that night.
During phone calls with her caregiver, Watkins said she was with a family member -- however, she does not have known family in the Cleveland area, police said.
Watkins also spoke with her grandmother Sunday at 3 a.m. and said she was at a friends house, and would return home later on.
Police said her phone signal came back to a house located on East 93rd Street in Cleveland, but she was not there when Cleveland Police checked the home.
