A driver who tried to get away from police after hitting a parked car on the city's west side gets stuck at the end of a cul-de-sac Monday morning.
Witnesses say the driver of an SUV hit a parked car on Mapledale Avenue and W. 42nd Street. Attempting to get away, the driver continued down Mapledale only to find it ended with a circle of guardrails.
The driver tried to run through the guardrails to get onto I-71 or Fulton Avenue but was unsuccessful.

According to the owner of the car that was hit, the woman just parked her car after returning from an overnight shift and her husband was about to take it into work.
The driver could be seen in the back of the cruiser.
