Police closed Euclid Avenue between Green Road and Upper Valley Drive Tuesday morning to investigate a shooting.
Police found a man in his 40s at Euclid Avenue and Green Road around 3 a.m. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his back.
Police say two women were providing aid to the man when they arrived. One woman told police she thought she'd run over a bag in the street, but felt a bump and saw the man lying in the road and shot. The other woman reported seeing the first provide assistance and stopped to help.
The victim was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where he later died.
Neighbors reported hearing shots fired and saw a Ford Focus roll down the street and hit a pole. The car was found in the area with several bullet holes.
