A family is pleading for help to find a missing child from East Cleveland.

Jasmine Conaway went missing Feb. 23, according to her mother, Melissa Fuentes, after she and another teenaged girl walked away from the Carrington Youth Academy.

Conaway, 15, and the teenager had gotten into a fight with the girl earlier in the week.

Relatives of Conaway are upset and claims the East Cleveland Police Department are not doing enough to find the missing teen.

"It can't just be us out here. It has to be everyone looking for these kids," one of Conaway's relatives said. "They're missing for a reason, whether it's on their own accord or they're taken. They need to be looked for, they're children."

East Cleveland police denied the allegations and said they are looking for the girl.

Conaway suffers from mental disabilities and has not been taking her medicine. She is described as 5-foot-6-inches, 128 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Conaway was last seen wearing blue sweatpants and sweatshirt.

A second girl, Charday Franklin, also went missing from the academy Feb. 23. Her mother, Charlena Shields, reported the 15-year-old girl missing.

Franklin is 5-foot-1-inches, 90 pounds and has brown eyes. Her hair is light burgundy. A flower tattoo is on her arm and 'Lena' is on her neck. She also suffers from a mental illness.

It is unclear if Conaway and Franklin are together.

Anyone with information should call East Cleveland police at (216) 681-2162.
