FBI searching for man who robbed PNC bank in Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Cleveland Division of the FBI is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who robbed a PNC Bank on Chagrin Boulevard in Shaker Heights on Wednesday.

A man is wanted by the FBI for robbing a PNC Bank in Shaker Heights.

At approximately 3:15 p.m., an unknown man walked into the bank, jumped over the teller counter and told one teller to "give me the money, put the money in the bag, no funny money and no playing,” according to the FBI.

The teller complied and placed an undisclosed amount of money into the bag.

The man turned to another teller and demanded, “put the money in the bag, empty your drawer." The man physically took the money out of the teller’s drawer and put it in his bag.

The FBI said the robber then gave his bag back to the first teller and said “get the money from him."

A third teller took the money from the cash drawer and placed it into his bag.

The robber told the tellers “ do not follow me” before exiting out the back doors in an unknown direction of travel.

A detailed physical description of the man was not given. At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing dark blue pants, a black face mask and dark-colored tennis shoes.
