Fight leads to double stabbing in Cleveland

Police are investigating a double stabbing that began as a fight outside a convenient store, sending two people to the hospital early Saturday morning.

According to police, officers responded to Euclid hospital at around 2:40 a.m. for a report of two men stabbed.

One 42-year-old victim told police he left Visions Blu lounge, located at 18029 Euclid Ave., with a group of friends when two men began fighting in the parking lot of a nearby convenient store.

Police said the victim attempted to break up the fight when he was stabbed in left side of his chest. He drove himself to the hospital.

The victim said he did not know the man who stabbed him, but described him as  bald with a full beard.

The victim’s girlfriend reported she saw the same described suspect, who police referred to as “Shaba,” pull an object from his pocket and stab her boyfriend in the chest.

While at the hospital, police learned a second victim, a 39-year-old man, had also been stabbed at the convenient store while he was fighting with the suspect inside of the nightclub. After being escorted out, they continued to fight in the parking lot, police said.

The suspect, “Shaba,” is described as bald with a full beard. He is believed to be 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 250 pounds.
