A  driver crashed his Ford Mustang into a median near a bus stop on Euclid Avenue after he was nearly robbed of his vehicle early Thursday morning.

The crash happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. after a silver Mustang slammed into a median near an RTA bus stop on Euclid Avenue.

The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old man from Macedonia, told police at the hospital that he was stopped at the intersection of East 30th Street and Euclid Avenue when he was approached by a man trying to rob him of his vehicle, a police reported stated.

The 42-year-old driver accelerated and then crashed into the median on Euclid Avenue. He was taken to University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center for treatment.
