A fugitive wanted for a 2015 rape has been arrested, according to the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio.
Daniel Ward, 54, was taken into custody Friday morning - just days after authorities deemed him their "Fugitive of the Week" and announced a reward offer to the public for information leading to his capture.
Officials with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force said they received tips from the public on the man's whereabouts, which led to his swift arrest.
Ward was initially believed to be hiding in Cleveland, but authorities have not said where he was arrested.
According to authorities, Ward was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Cleveland Police Department for a rape allegedly committed in December of 2015.
