High winds tear down trees, power lines in CLE

Monday night, high winds brought down trees and power lines across northeast Ohio.

Our newsnet5.com crew found lines and limbs down on Superior Avenue and East 51st Street.

In Willoughby Hills, our crew saw a power pole on fire in front of the police department.

FirstEnergy reported as many as 14,000 customers without power at one point. That number is now down to less than 2,000, and most of those effected live on the east side of Cleveland.

According to FirstEnergy's website, most power should be restored by 6 a.m.
