INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — If you're looking for something fun to do in August with your children, consider going to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
During the month of August, children ride free during the week with the purchase of one adult ticket.
The National Park Scenic coach ticket is an all-day event where families can get off the train and explore the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
A round trip is approximately three and a half hours and the main boarding stations are located in Independence, Peninsula and Akron.
The free special for kids runs Wednesdays through Fridays until August 30.
