Texas AFB shooter was from Parma Heights

Air Force officials confirms to NewsChannel5 that the alleged shooter at the Lackland Air Force Base fatal shooting in Texas is from Northeast Ohio.

Officials have identified the alleged shooter as 41-year-old Tech Sergeant Steven Bellino from Parma Heights.

Bellino was a Special Agent with the FBI for less than two years, he resigned in 2013 FBI officials said. 

He allegedly opened fire Friday killing his commander Lieutenant Colonel, 39-year-old William A. Schroeder at the base in San Antonio, officials said.

The motive behind the shooting is unclear at this time.
