CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — Three-year-old Kelcey, who has spent a lot of her young life battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, had her wish granted Sunday and became a “princess for a day.”
A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter made Kelcey an official princess of Second Star to the Right and rode in a horse-drawn carriage in the Chagrin Falls Blossom Time Parade as the star of the parade.
Before the parade, Kelcey has given her very own princess crowning ceremony, joined by her favorite princess friends from Second Star to the Right.
Kelcey is remission and this wish was a way to celebrate spending less time in the hospital, according to her family. She still has a year left of treatment, but that’s something Princess Kelcey will do bravely.
