A Lorain man was indicted on abuse charges after he forced himself into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and licked her face.

Antoine Mathews is charged with burglary, domestic violence, aggravated menacing and disrupting public services after he pushed through his ex-girlfriend's apartment door Jan. 17 and assaulted her, according to Cuyahoga County Municipal Court records.

He was indicted on the charges Friday.

Mathews, 24, knocked on the door of the mother of his child and former live-in girlfriend, and announced himself as his sister. The woman opened the door and Mathews walked into the apartment.

He was asked to leave and was told he wasn't welcome, but he insisted that he wanted to talk about their relationship, the court documents said.

As the woman laid back on her bed, Mathews jumped on top of her, pulling the covers off, licking her face and groping her. The woman managed to scratch Mathews as she tried to get away from him.

Mathews took the woman's phone and, as she tried to get it back, he grabbed her by the neck and held her against the bedroom door.

He eventually let go of her and threw her phone and other property all over the house. Mathews also punched holes in the walls and told the woman he would "beat the sh--out of her and that he would kill her," the documents said.

Mathews was being held on a $25,000 bail at the county jail. He is ordered not to have contact with the woman.

An arraignment is scheduled or March 31.
