Man arrested for possession of marijuana after calling police to unlock car

A man was arrested for possession of controlled substances, trafficking in drugs, and illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia after calling police to unlock his car Thursday afternoon.

According to Mayfield Heights police the man, Keith Deloach, called police around 3:23 p.m. because he locked his keys inside of his car. When police arrived they unlocked the vehicle and smelled a strong marijuana odor. 

Deloach admitted to police he had marijuana, but when they searched the vehicle they also found a scale, grinder, baggies and money.

Police arrested Deloach at the scene, and charged him with trafficking in drugs, possession of controlled substances and illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.
