A 29-year-old man was killed in Solon Wednesday morning after police said he lost control of his vehicle, hit a guard rail and drove down a steep embankment.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Interstate 422 just west of the Solon/Bainbridge line.

Police said the driver was heading eastbound when he drove off the left side of the road. He lost control of the car when he reentered the road.
