A 29-year-old man was killed in Solon Wednesday morning after police said he lost control of his vehicle, hit a guard rail and drove down a steep embankment.
The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Interstate 422 just west of the Solon/Bainbridge line.
Police said the driver was heading eastbound when he drove off the left side of the road. He lost control of the car when he reentered the road.
Witnesses attempted to revive the man with CPR but they were unsuccessful.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the man as Timothy Roland, of Chagrin Falls.
