A man was stabbed during an attempted aggravated robbery on the East side of Cleveland Tuesday, police said.
According to police, officers responded to an apartment building at the 3200 block of East 55th Street for a report of a man stabbed.
The 23-year-old victim told police he was walking through the parking lot when he was approached by a black man in a dirty gray coat.
"Where's the money?" the suspect allegedly asked the victim.
The victim told the suspect he did not have any money, to which the suspect then stabbed him in the leg and cut him on the arm.
The suspect then fled on foot, police said.
The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment for cuts to his left leg and right arm.
The incident is under investigation.
