A man wanted for rape, kidnapping and gross sexual imposition in Cuyahoga and Wayne counties was arrested across the country, the U.S. Marshals announced.
Lawrence Stapleton, 37, was wanted since Sept. 16, 2015 on warrants issued by Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for multiple charges of rape, kidnapping and gross sexual imposition; and in Wayne County for rape.
Stapleton was tracked down in Los Angeles and was arrested without incident. He is in custody in Los Angeles County and is awaiting extradition to Ohio.
