Maple Heights police investigating Marathon gas station shooting

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — Maple Heights police are searching for a group of people responsible for shooting two men.

Police said they received a call from the Cleveland Police Department at 2 a.m. about a male who was shot at the Marathon gas station on Warrensville Center Road.

When police arrived, they found 18 to 20 shell casings.

Maple Heights police said they received another call from Cleveland, stating there was another victim at South Pointe Hospital that needed to be transported to Metro Hospital.

Both of the males were treated and are in stable condition.

Police said after they reviewed the surveillance video, there were two groups of males who began shooting at one another.

Police said the group started to argue and as a black Nissan Sentra pulled away, they began shooting at one another. A red Toyota Camry was also seen leaving the scene.
