The Citizens Bank on Mayfield Road in Mayfield Heights was robbed by one man Thursday afternoon, according to police reports.
Police say the suspect is a black man, possibly in his 40s, about 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a baseball cap with a mask or scarf covering his face, gloves and dark sunglasses at the time of the incident.
When the suspect entered the building, he immediately began yelling for people to get on the ground, police said. He approached tellers and demanded money, scooping it off the counter and into a white plastic bag before walking out.
Police believe the suspect got into an older model silver four door sedan.
