EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — East Cleveland police were involved in a pursuit with a stolen vehicle that resulted in officers tasing the two men involved, according to the department.
Officers were called to Pontiac Street after receiving a report of an argument involving a firearm.
The caller said “I’m a killer the police better hurry,” according to police.
Once on scene, officers saw two men in a vehicle in the area of East 125th Street and Shaw Avenue that matched the description of the vehicle used by the man with the firearm, police said.
A pursuit with the vehicle began and after a short time, the driver opened his door with a MAC-10 style firearm, prompting officers to strike the door of the vehicle with their cruiser to keep the man inside of the vehicle, according to police.
The passenger of the vehicle attempted to exit and officers deployed their taser on the man. The driver was then able to exit the vehicle and a taser was deployed on him as well, police said.
Both men were taken into custody, according to police.
The vehicle involved was reported stolen out of Strongsville, police said.
