SOLON, Ohio — Solon police will not be filing any charges against principal Erin Short after false misconduct allegations were made.

Short was placed on paid administrative leave on Feb. 15 after misconduct allegations were made against her.

The district said that once they receive formal notification from the prosecutor's office, she will be able to return to work.

In a statement sent to parents earlier, Short said a person created a fake email address, using a fake name to falsely accuse her of inappropriate conduct.

Assistant Principal Erica Kosiorek has been serving as acting principal for the time being.

The district confirmed Short has been employed by Solon Schools since June 2000 and has been a principal since Aug. 1, 2010.
