WESTLAKE, Ohio — A North Olmsted man was arrested Sunday for allegedly driving while under the influence in Westlake.

According to Westlake police, the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 5 near Interstate 90 and Columbia Road.

An officer on patrol noticed a vehicle on the grassy median sitting still with its headlights on.

Police said the driver told the officer that he had been driving home to North Olmsted from Lakewood.

Authorities said the man appeared intoxicated and when the officer gave him a field sobriety test, the man responded by saying, "You got me, man. I can't stand."

Police said the man was found to be two times over the legal limit. He was charged with OVI, failure to control and possession of marijuana.
