An 18-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority train on Cleveland's east side.
The incident happened at about 1:45 p.m. at East 119th and Mayfield, in the city's Little Italy neighborhood, according to the RTA.
The woman was struck by an eastbound red line train.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the woman as Victoria Ocejo of Brook Park.
According to the RTA, Ocejo was walking with two others and crossed the tracks before she was hit. Officials said the other two went up onto the platform but she remained on the tracks and was struck.
The crash remains under investigation. Transit police are reviewing video to determine details.
