Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the parking lot of Beachwood Place mall Thursday night.
One person was injured in the shooting. That person is reportedly in stable condition at MetroHealth Medical Center.
The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m.
Police identified the victim on Friday as 30-year-old Antonio Teal.
The Beachwood police chief told News 5 he doesn't think the shooting had anything to do with the mall and shoppers should not be concerned.
In December, police and mall security had to use pepper spray to control a large crowd causing a disturbance at the mall.
That forced the mall to change some rules. In January, the mall started a program requiring that all visitors under the age of 17 be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult who is at least 21 years old.
