Two pet cats died after a house fire erupted in Parma on Tuesday night.
The Parma Fire Department responded to the 2700 block of North Avenue around 9:30 p.m. on June 7 for reports of a house with a fire in the basement.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire and rescue the family dog but they were unsuccessful in saving the two cats.
There were no other reported injuries.
Officials said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
