CLEVELAND — Giant Eagle announced changes to its popular fuelperks customer loyalty program. While keeping with its traditional $.10 cent off for every $50 spent, the grocery store chain announced it will expand those discounts to include groceries.

Rewards earned from transactions on groceries, gift cards and prescriptions can be either redeemed for up to a free tank of gas or 20 percent off any size grocery order, according to a news release from Giant Eagle.

The Giant Eagle Advantage Card allows customers to track their perks earned when their loyalty cards are scanned on purchases inside Giant Eagle, Market District and GetGo locations.

The fuelperks program has been around since 2006. In 2018 alone, Giant Eagle customers redeemed more than $230 million in fuelperks rewards.

Fuelperks+ launches Monday at all Northeast Ohio Giant Eagle, Market District and GetGo location.
