PEPPER PIKE, Ohio — Police have released new details regarding a shooting in Pepper Pike on Sunday morning that left four people injured.
The shooting happened just after midnight near North Landerwood Plaza on Pinetree Road. The shooting took place in a parking lot following a private event at a nearby restaurant.
According to authorities, an unknown person fired at least 21 rounds at a Volkswagen Jetta. A nearby Ford Fusion was also hit it by one round during the fusillade of bullets. Police said it appears the Jetta was the primary target.
An 18-year-old from Garfield Heights that was inside the Jetta was shot, authorities said.
The round that pierced the Fusion also injured a 16-year-old male from Cleveland and a 17-year-old male from Beachwood. Another person, an 18-year-old male, also from Beachwood, was injured by glass from a broken window.
