LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Students at Lakewood High School will compete Tuesday to paddle across the school's pool in the 18th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta.

According to school officials, more than 170 juniors and seniors were given five weeks to construct a boat made out untreated brown cardboard that will be used to traverse the school's 25-yard-long pool.
The event runs from 3 to 4 p.m. at the high school located at 14100 Franklin Boulevard, Lakewood.
