Euclid police and SWAT converged on a house on E. 204th Street between Lakeshore Boulevard and Ardwell Drive this afternoon. The public was told to avoid the area and stay inside.

At 1:15 PM Euclid police say they responded to a call for a burglary in progress. Police say the residents were "surprised" inside the home by two males, one of whom was carrying a gun. The residents fled and went to a neighbor's house. Police, believing the suspects may still be inside, surrounded the house. A multi-jurisdictional SWAT team was called in, and they cleared the home. The suspects remain on the loose. Authorities say they recovered a gun.

No one was injured, according to police.
