Two Eastlake residents were killed in a crash on state Route 2 near Edgewater Park late Sunday.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the Shoreway around 9 p.m. Cleveland police said that a man driving a 1996 Lexus ES300 east was speeding and lost control. The car went into a construction zone on the right side of the roadway and rolled. Police also suspect that alcohol was a factor.
Police said two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the driver as 38-year-old Francis Suhar and passenger as 27-year-old Michael Davis.
Police have not yet said what caused the crash.
