A group of friends were gathered outside an East 73rd Street home on Thursday night when shots rang out, killing one and sending another to MetroHealth Medical Center.

The surviving man, 22, told police that he and friends were outside when they heard gun shots. He saw people running when he and another man, also 22, were shot. Both victims were taken to MetroHealth by EMS.

One man suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the head and back, and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other was shot in the torso and leg, and continues to receive treatment at the hospital.
