BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — A 61-year-old woman who called Bay Village police to have officers remove her husband from the home due to a domestic dispute was later arrested for allegedly hitting her spouse with a hammer.
On Dec. 21 at around 5:49 p.m., police responded to a home on Wolf Road in Bay Village after receiving a call from a resident who said she was having an domestic incident with her husband, authorities said.
When officers arrived, they met with the wife, who was waiting in the driveway. She told officers that she needed her husband to leave before she "killed him" and later admitted to striking him with a claw hammer.
Authorities said the 68-year-old husband told them his wife hit him on the back and arms with the hammer.
The woman was arrested on a charge of domestic violence, according to police.
