PERKINS TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The man and woman arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Sandusky-area Golden Corral employee Sunday night appearing in court Tuesday morning; each received a $1 million bond.

Demetrius Hall, 28, is charged with the murder of 32-year-old Cevin Stanley. Tausha Patch, 33, is charged with complicity to murder, according to a news release from Perkins Township police.

Hall and Patch appeared in court Tuesday morning, where bond was set at $1 million each, according to court records. Neither has posted bond.

The next court appearance for Hall and Patch is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m., where they will need to appear with an attorney and enter a plea.

A verbal fight between Hall, who was a customer, and Stanley, an employee at the Golden Corral in Perkins Township near Sandusky, led to Hall allegedly stabbing Stanley Sunday night.

The Erie County Dispatch Center received 911 calls requesting an ambulance for a stabbing victim at the Golden Corral on Milan Road Sunday night, according to a news release from Perkins Township police. Police, fire crews and EMS were dispatched.

Witnesses at the scene told police that a customer and a Golden Corral employee exchanged words near closing time. The exchange turned into a verbal altercation. Witnesses said fellow employees gathered around and removed Stanley from the area, taking him outside to the rear of the restaurant to calm him down.

Hall also left the restaurant, then approached the employee and stabbed him, the release states. The customer then left the area in a white SUV by turning south onto U.S. 250.

Stanley managed to walk back into the restaurant before collapsing, police said. Employees called 911, and officers and EMS tried to resuscitate Stanley, but he died at the scene.

Hall and Patch were apprehended in Sandusky County at about 3 p.m. Monday for questioning. They were taken into custody and transported to the Fremont Police Department.

Puckett's Corral, LLC, a Golden Corral franchise, provided this statement regarding the stabbing:
