PERKINS TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An employee at Thorworks in Sandusky is recovering after falling into a mixer.
The Perkins Township Police Department said an industrial accident pinned an employee inside of a mixer filled with a tar substance.
First responders from Perkins fire, Sandusky fire, Margaretta fire, Pekins police and the Erie County Sheriff's Office worked together to help the employee.
After a lengthy extraction, the employee was alert and flown by helicopter to the hospital.
The condition of the employee is unknown at the time.
