SANDUSKY, Ohio — Sandusky is on the verge of being named the best coastal small town in the country and it needs your vote to secure the top spot.
The poll is part of the USA Today 10 Best: Best Coastal Small Town award.
For the past few days, Sandusky has been neck and neck with Rockport, Texas for the crown. Sandusky is also the only Ohio city to make the poll.
The contest looks at small cities with a population less than 25,000 that offer “uncrowded, unpretentious fun.”
Sandusky city officials said the idyllic little town on Lake Erie’s coast has seen a lot of investment and revitalization over the past several years.
Cedar Point, America’s top destination for roller coasters, offers the city one of the “most unique skylines” in the entire country and “world class fun.”
You can vote once a day, per device, and voting ends May 6.
