An Erie County community is mourning after a freshman collapsed at a school-sponsored basketball event Thursday night and later died.
According to a Perkins Local School District official, the boy was at a basketball practice at Norwalk High School when he collapsed.
The boy was identified as 15-year-old Stone Ambos, according to a GoFundMe account. The post says the teen died from heart complications.

An unbelievable amount of support & love for Stone and those close to him. We’ve elected to up the campaign goal for his family. While money is a very small part of what’s important - the love, encouragement and kind words mean the absolute most.
Rest easy, #12.
