Two people were arrested after troopers confiscated more than $4,000 worth of Oxycodone pills during a traffic stop in Erie County.

On July 27, troopers stopped a 2018 Chevy Malibu for a following too close violation on the Ohio Turnpike.

During the stop, authorities found a bag containing 123 oxycodone pills from a female passenger.

The driver, Brian Cooper, 35, and Courtney E. Slanker, 23, both from Akron, were charged with possession and trafficking drugs. The charges are both third-degree felonies.

They were arrested and taken to the Erie County Jail.
