3 dead after Geauga County crash

PARKMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Geauga County.

The crash happened after 5:30 p.m. on State Route 528 near Shed Road in Parkman Township.

A 2018 Honda Civic, driven by 72-year-old James Gray, was traveling north on State Route 528. His daughter, Chloe Trupa, was a passenger in his vehicle.

The Honda Civic traveled left of the center line and hit a 2008 Pontiac G6 driver by Anthony O'Malley, 48, troopers said.

Neither Gray or Trupa were wearing their seat belts and were pronounced dead at the scene.

O'Malley was transported to University Hospital Geauga Medical Center, where he later died. He was wearing his seat belt.

The crash is under investigation.
