BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Students at Kenston High School in Bainbridge Township hosted a student-run lock-in at the school to raise money for charity.

The students organized the lock-in to support and raise funds for A Kid Again, a non-profit organization that provides consistent, free activities for children facing health issues.

The “Bomber Bash” lock-in took place Saturday, with students staying up from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. to raise the funds.

In the three previous years the school has held this event, the students raised a total of $11,000 from the event.

This year, students set a goal of $20,000 for this fundraiser.

On Sunday, the numbers came in and the students raised $20,063 for A Kid Again, reaching their goal and more.

Students had previously decided that 100 percent of the funds would go to the charity, where in the past it was split between the non-profit and the school’s PTO. All $20,063 will be donated directly to A Kid Again, helping children enjoy their childhood while dealing with medical issues.
