A fire burned for more than three hours at a business in Village of Burton Thursday night.

Geauga County Sheriff's Lt. John Hiscox said up to 20 different fire departments responded to Ronyak Brothers Asphalt on Cheshire St.

Firefighters responded to the scene after reports of black smoke coming from the building.

Officials say the fire has been burning since 5 p.m. in the building that holds the company's trucks and chemicals.

A 150-pound propane tank was inside the building and blew up while crews were on scene, according to the fire chief.

People in a nearby apartment building were evacuated but have since been let back inside.
