A crash involving an Amish buggy Sunday morning closed part of State Route 241 for about four hours and sent several people to the hospital, according to authorities.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Tina Yutzy, 20, was driving a black 2015 Chevrolet Sonic northbound on State Route 241 in Salt Creek Township behind the buggy. Yutzy attempted to pass the buggy on a double yellow line, but had to swerve back into her lane to avoid oncoming traffic, according to troopers.

Yutzy's car hit the buggy, sending its driver and four passengers to area hospitals for injuries. The youngest child was taken by Life Flight to Akron Children's Hospital.

Yutzy had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
